Marie's New Passion

Have you met my friend Marie?

She is a crafty one, her talents are vast. She attends craft shows, scrapbook expos, joins online groups and more. Marie likes to try new things, new tools and new techniques.  In the past few years she has become familiar with the ways her Silhouette will enhance all our lives!  She has been creating some crafty home d├ęcor for friends and family and may now be ready to venture into doing more orders for others.  I wanted to share/highlight her new passion so that we can support her.

Check out her work... always improving, growing and she is always willing to personalize.

This is just a sample of her work but she has many more projects and can personalize for you too.  I am not sure of the sizes or the costs but I stopped by her house and she was creating away... and so I sent her a thousand pins to keep her busy!

You can call her at 1-209-923-4702.

Enjoy!

Law Enforcement Appreciation Day 2017

In honor of those who serve and protect us daily...
rain, sleet, snow and in a terrible political climate.
I wish to THANK all of the men and women
Past, Present & into our ever changing future.

I am married to and the daughter of a LEO.
I have two out of three children that aspire to serve.
I know many LEO's, admire their strong families
and live in a community that struggles to appreciate all we have tasked LEO's to do.

Say a prayer for their safety, peace of mind and strong spirits.
Wave, say hello, thank you and respect the uniform.

In this house we were sad to hear of the loss of Master Sergeant Deborah Clayton of the Orlando Police Department.

We lift her family, friends and the community she served up in prayer!  Thank you mam for your service!

I wanted to share a project we did over the weekend.
This past June my husband graduated from the FBI's National Academy.  It is a special course for the top 2% of all law enforcement officers.   While there he met men and women from many other  agencies ,counties and states.  He developed a tight relationship with 4 other LEO's and they called themselves the Rat Pack.  Each took on the role of a member of the original Rat Pack and they maintain those names to this day.  We decided to share some holiday spirits with these amazing leaders in law enforcement this past weekend.
We arraigned to send  Do Good Whiskey to them.

We came into admiring this local distillery when my husband graduated.  A friend gifted him with a bottle and we decided to support this cause by passing on their wonderful whiskey to all that will indulge!

I made a quick CASE of a previous Blue Thin Line Flag:

Supplies used to make this CASE:
Basic Black Cardstock & Archival Ink
Pacific Point Cardstock & Stampin' Pad
Smokey Slate Cardstock
Silver Metallic Paper
Dimensionals

I love my LEO, and I support, thank and appreciate all our men and women in uniform so to serve and protect us each day!

Love,
Cary

The "F" Word

So crazy how certain people come into your lives and make such creative and positive changes.
Last week out of the blue I received an invitation I could not refuse.  The invitation was to join a monthly ladies night our group called 'The "F" Word'.  Now the invitation came from a doctor that I am not a patient of, but she and I volunteer for the same women's club.  Her energy is always so positive and she carries herself with such confidence you want to be near her!  So last night I grabbed a bottle of wine from the fridge (you know me that wine was not getting any action in my house unless you were going to come open it) and headed to her office.  I have never been to a chiropractors office but it was impressive... While the treatment rooms had these cool looking chairs... The rest of the office was warm and comfy and an atmosphere you could curl up and jump into a good book with.
As the women started to arrive I understood most of them knew each other from other types of groups... But I felt comfortable to be  myself and vulnerable enough to stay when I could run.  Yes, I know I am a Chatty Cathy when you get to know me but I do get intimidated easily.  The "F" word for the day was "FEARLESS" and our topic facilitator was a wonderful woman named Tracy.  She shared ways to make goals that we could achieve. She referred to SMART goals... Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Task Oriented goals. (I may have changed the anchor words to suit me).  Since this year I want to learn to be kind and love more... Listening to her I was encouraged to go deeper.  Why am I choosing the goals I am choosing, and how am I going to measure them?
Well, she suggested I pick a goal and chart it... She handed out some great charts that you can visually measure.  Now me being the new person in the group could only see the negatives... How could I possibly keep up and do I want others to see my journey? Yes... I want others to see my journey and being kind and loving is easy but not always perfect.  As a main fear... Do I want my kids to know that I am not perfect?  Uh, ya.... As if they do not already know. So my chart is now Washi taped to my bathroom mirror and let's see where it grows!

If you want to join us next month the "F" word is Frisky and we will be learning about essential oils and making personal rollers to bring home to the bedroom... Lol! I know it sounds silly but taking care of yourself means taking care of all the aspects of your life you may neglect.  Plus, the women in this group are pretty freaking awesome and I would love you to join us! You can RSVP on meetup.com or text me. It is located at the Specific Chiropractic Center, 7950 Dublin Blvd!
Motivation to dig deep, stay positive and be a better me for everyone!
Love,
Cary

Happy New Year ... 2017 is going to be great!

Well, it has been 5 days since we all rang in the New Year and I am just now making time to share with you my resolutions for my personal, community and stamping life!  I intend to be brutally honest this year, and share my reality... I cannot do it all, and my priorities are shifting.  I intend to grow and learn more this year than years past because at 46 years of age... yes... I'm 46 years young.  I have not completed or understood many of my past resolutions and I feel that this year I am going to try to be kind and love more.  There is a difference in how I have done this in the past and how I journey into the future... because I truly want to love more, and hate less.  My family and friends will hopefully understand this more as the year progresses and I will redefine until my last breath... not just this year but every year.

So why am I taking such large breaks in my blogging?  Well, apart from the fact that I do not make this a priority I take tons of notes, and write in my planner.  My planner unfortunately does not communicate with you.   I will try and step up my game! So this year I will continue my blogging a few times a week but I vow to be totally helpful!  Not just typing to type. I am adjusting My Happy Homemaker Monday to include a few more loves for me to share with you, I will have my monthly Mimi's Challenge and advertising the entire year upfront.  I will be sharing more about the people I love to be around and share their stories from my perspective and I want more random playdates  to share my love of stamping.  Even if we are not together in person... I have a few dates up my sleeves to share with people virtually that will be inclusive!

The NEW 2017 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs are now live! I have a few days set aside to share them with you in person:

January 28th - Join me for a Card Buffet, Baked Potato & Candy Bar in Manteca at the Camellia Clubhouse from 10am to 1pm... It is FREEE ...  and if you desire to extend your day you can stay from 1-3 and play!
January 29th - Open House - San Ramon  Join me in my home for the opportunity to create and utilize my tools and supplies or work on your own projects.  Again there is no Fee to participate just your time!

Mimi's Challenge:  A way for you to earn a $10 in Stampin' Up! from me.  Mimi has set the themes for each month for 2017, and our cards must include at least one Stampin' UP! product current or retired and a recipe of all the supplies used to create your masterpiece.  Each month a panel of random judges will decide the winner and I will join in and CASE a card or two.   Mimi will slip in some wonderful tips and share her inspiring ideas for creating and completing some amazing themes and it will be fun!   Anyone can join in!
