New Years Resolutions... Bring on 2014!

How many of you can look back and see the rollercoaster of life and say:
that you enjoyed the ride,
 learned a few lessons,
and had so much fun that you had your hands up in the air?
I have to admit that I took inventory of the year...
there were so many accomplishments and achievements in our home.
I also found I have to take responsibility for so much more...
my actions, my words, my reactions and just be me.
I can see the times I had my hands up in the air and squealing with excitement!
I can recall the times I was gripping the safety bar.
I can remember the times I felt like I was alone,
I see many more times when you all were right here with me!
Thank you!
I find that I need to be grateful, thankful and more loving.
I need to be more positive, be a stronger, loving mother, and supportive wife!
I will be a better friend!
While I can say that my blessings
(three beautiful children from God, and a man I love like crazy)
are blessings...
I am reminded that they are a gift from God and I need to treat them better.
There is always room for improvement...
I will ride that roller coaster of life with my hands in the air!
I will allow God to lead my heart!
He is always there and I plan to worship him daily!
I will make memories!
I will celebrate the little things and not fret over the small stuff!
I will climb Yosemite Falls with Renee again this year!
I will continue to serve God, my country, my community and my family and friends with humility and pride!
I will continue to check in here daily, create, be inspired, CASE, and love Stampin' Up so much that it reflects on my business in a positive way!
I will attend Stampin' Up Convention and you can join me if you like!
Have I told you thank you?
Thank you for loving me, accepting me, forgiving me, praying for me, and always inspiring me to be a better person!
Feeling blessed,

Occasions Playdate Results

I stamped and laughed,
and stamped some more.
We ate good,
we discovered new tricks
look at this small collection of cards created.

Here is a CASE of an item Beverlee had received in the mail.  Very fun to make.

This is a CASE from Lorraine... I really did not know if I was going to like the Ampersand Embossing folder... but Lorraine sealed the deal for me!

This CASE was from Nancy.  She brought a ton of samples and taught us some great tips on achieving positive results while coloring.  I have another beautiful card CASE from her awaiting the glitter drying.  She really sold me on the new Peaceful Petals stamp set!

Project #4
A CASE from Sarah. I have never used black embossing powder.  WOW!  It is beautiful!  I have added that to my order!

Last item to share... Beverlee made these for all of us that attended.  Love that flower?  It is a new big shot die... and it is to die for!
Tomorrow I am going to share Renee's creations... she used the new SAB paper that you can earn with every $50 you spend ... OMG... so cute and adorable!
Have a blessed Sunday!
ps... do not forget to check out the clearance rack blitz and the weekly deals! I am super excited!

Cranberry & Pistachio Biscotti

I always make the same item for my cookie swap.
Russian Tea Cookies... But this year I changed it up.
Thanks to my dear friend Jeanne Murchie I am making Cranberry & Pistachio Biscotti!
I ate them in her home a few weeks back and ...
changed my whole holiday gifting plan based on these amazing cookies.
The photo does not do justice... because the smells are so intoxicating!
Recipe is easy:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1cup chopped pistachios
1 cup dried cranberries
sanding sugar... optional but so worth the sprinkle
Preheat oven to 345 degrees.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, 3eggs, vanilla with mixer.
Mix in pistachios and cranberries.
Dough will be sticky.
Pour onto a lightly floured surface.
Split into two loaves.
Place onto lined cookie sheet.
Form into a loaf 14"long by 2" wide.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack completely.
When cool... slice into 18 biscotti.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Bake 8 more minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
Let cool completely!

Happy 11th Birthday Matthew

Today my son turns 11...
How times flies...
At exactly this time he was pulled from my belly...
A chubby bundle of love!
He has had my heart tied to his from conception...
And I pray he never breaks my heart.
He received his birthday gift early...
Star a Labrador Retriever.
She is 16 weeks old and his best friend.

I decided to CASE his birthday card from a pin I saw on Pinterest today.
Boy birthday cards are not pinned as often (I guess I really like the girlie kind)
but when I saw this card I knew I wanted to try it.

I love to make cards that are interests of my kids and my son loves Star Wars.

Stampin' Up supplies used to make this card were:
Basic Grey Cardstock, Midnight Muse Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Hexagon Embossing Folder, Deco Labels Framelits, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Triangle Punch, Word Window Punch, circle from Itty Bitty Punch Pack, White Gel Pen, Midnight Muse Stampin' Pad, Bitty Banner Framelits, Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set, Rhinestones, & Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here is Matthew and Star when she was only 3 weeks old:

Here are Matthew and Star today!
I just love these two!
Hope you all have a Happy Hump Day!
