Watermelon CASE

Last week I was preparing for a stamping play date
and decided we needed saltwater taffy to go in treat bags.
My theme was red, white and blue since I was using the new My Paper Pumpkin Kit.
Screaming "pick me"  from a separate  bin
I saw watermelon taffy and they had to jump inside my cart too!

When I got home, I was glancing at my Instagram account on my iPad...
And @swishandstamp posted a simply summer inspired watermelon card
and I had to CASE it!

Here is my first draft... Not perfect as I still have not costumed caffeine... Still cute though!

Then I played around a little and made this one too:
Supplies used to create these two juicy CASE's: Work of Art Stamp Set, Countless Saying's 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set (little heart for the seeds), And Many More Stamp Set, Mossy Meadow Cardstock, Real Red Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 1/2" Circle Punch, Rhinestones, Mossy Meadow Stitched Ribbon, Memento Ink Pad, Real Red Stampin' Pad, and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Pad.

A CASE can go many directions...
And can inspire many great ideas!
Thanks to an adorable start to my day!
It's my June Open House today and I am off to play!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Own It

I had friends over to play yesterday.   We talked about life, friends and Stampin' Up. I had pre set ideas and cards that I wanted to make, and I always get giddy when I see what they made and how they "own  it"!
When given the same stack of supplies each and everyone of us can either make exactly the same project, or we see that card and make it our own!

Here are some examples of our personalities, and our gifts in a few projects we made:
We each looked at some Sneek Peak Examples Stampin' Up had shown us using the Work of Art Stamp Set... Here is our results:

Again the same base products were used:

Emmy and I made the same basic card:

These ladies owned their projects and loved making the new My Paper Pumpkin Kit too:

Lastly, our sweet lil Emmy sat and used up all her extra supplies and made me a card whist we got down to business planning subscriptions, workshops, camps and more.  Emmy is a natural born stamper and she looked around my room and came up with tons of ideas!
I love this special card and will treasure it always!

Hope you liked our play date results, if you want to play, call me, text me, email me and let's set a date for fun!

Is There No Limit To Your Awesomeness?

Big News:
Today I have a play date with Kirsten, Emmy and Allison.
We are going to make a few cards that they have liked on Instagram,
and I came up with a few other projects!
It's a day of friends, fun and inspiration.

Kirsten announced that she
will be working at Walt Disney Elementary School next year
as a part-time ELD Instructional Aide.

I wish her nothing but fun, love and blessings!
Kirsten is an awesome mother, wife, sister and friend.
She inspires all if us around her to be better leaders,
and challenges is to smile and enjoy life when our kids are ...
Let's say difficult to love.

Good Luck Kirsten!

Here is a card I made for Kirsten:
Supplies Used to Make this Awesome Card are:
Big News Stamp Set, And Many More Stamp Set, Very Vanilla Stamp Cardstock, Brushed Gold Cardstock, Gold Metallic Encore Stamp Pad, Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Pearls and Dimensionals.
I am off to play by myself until they get here!
Have a great day!

Happy Homemaker Monday 6/23/2014

As I look outside my window:
The fog is rolling out to sea... and a beautiful day is in front of me!  All three kiddos are home and the hubby too!  I feel a Farruggia Family Fun Night coming our way! Whoops, Maybe a fun afternoon... we are hosting the hubby's work crew out for dinner!

Right now I am:
Trying to pack Gabriella's suitcase for a Youth Group Campout this weekend... think we misplaced a sleeping bag last year?? Or did my kids grow out of their Disney ones?  *Sniffle* *Sniffle*

Thinking and pondering:
How blessed I am to have a roof over my head, when so many others do not.

On my bedside table:
My Bible
A stack of books I plan on reading, re-reading this summer!
A 143 note from the Hubby!
An empty candy wrapper, yes, I needed a little sugar rush to get me over a dull spot in a book last night.

On my tv tonight:
I am thinking that the stack of Hitchcock flicks from Netfix is going to come out!
Wa.. Ha... Ha... HA! Believe me when I say it has to come out after my kiddos go to bed because I scream and bite my nails through these adventures in film.

Listening to:
My Slacker Radio... Eighties, Ninties and Today... just love the beat and I needed a walk down memory lane!

What I am creating:
A pile of interesting possibilities as I try and create some original designs to swap!

Homemaking tips:
Make your bed if you can, it looks better, it creates a sense of completion, and just asks you to jump on it!
Looking around the house:
I am thinking I need more on my walls, after we completed our adventure in homeschooling the walls just look empty minus the maps, schedules and bulletin boards. Must find a way to get these kids to make some artwork!

Hello Sweet Friend!
A quick card to check in with a pal I have not spoken to in a while.
Scraps in my piles of possibilities helped this CASE come together...
You will see some of these colors in my convention swaps.
Your card does not have to be perfect, nor does it have to be an original to warm a friends heart.
The fact that you take the time to hand craft,
and hand write a quick message is already over the top in today's world.

Hello, Sweet Friend CASE:
Supplies used to make this card were:
Basic Grey Cardstock, Daffodil Delight Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Velum Paper, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set, Basic Grey Stampin' Pad, Hexagon Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Zig Zag Embossing Folder, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Smokey Slate Neutral Button, Glue Dots, ans Stampin' Dimensional's.

Happy Birthday CASE

Happy Birthday ... A wish we make often, and the theme of this card. Did I have fun playing with multiple colors and and that silly Gorgeous Grubge Stamp Set making this CASE? Heck Ya!!!  In fact, you can get away with this card being for a man, woman, child or stranger! The Sassy Salutation and the fun blots of color are easy enough to make into solid colors, and multi colors to make a fun card.
I spent one evening attempting to clear off one board of cards I have wanted to CASE and I had so much fun! A CASE does not have to be exact, a CASE does not have to be perfect, a CASE does not have to use the exact materials as seen in a photo, or from a card you have received. A CASE inspires you to make a card you like and makes everyone happy!

Happy Birthday CASE:
Supplies Used to Make This CASE:
Pacific Point Cardstock, Real Red Cardstock, Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set, Sassy Salutations Stamp Set, Pacific Point Stampin' Pad, Real Red Stampin' Pad, Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Pad, Old Olive Stampin' Pad, Daffodil Delight Stampin' Pad, and Stampin' Dimensional's.

If today is your birthday... Happy Birthday! If not... Happy belated, or Happy Early Birthday!

Here is a dedicated congratulations to Marvin Gallimore! A man of many gifts, a hero, and an inspiration! Last night we had the privilege of being guests at his swearing in ceremony for the Tracy Lions Club.

I whipped up this quick card before we flew out the door.. With a gift to his favorite charity inside.

What a great night to share with his family, our friends and the communityof Tracy as he takes helm of an outstanding community organization.

Thank you Marvin and Stephanie for including us in your special day!

Feel Better CASE

Have you ever had a friend or a child with a broken heart or hurt feeling's? It is hard to watch, and can be something you only use spoken words with or a hug. What if that friend is far away? Then you have to send that friend encouragement, I came across this card on Pinterest. The multiple bandages resignatted with a certain gal pal's situation. She has been having health issues, she has been feeling isolated, and her feelings are hurt because she can no longer go on in a direction she is not motivated to go anymore. To be quite honest, my heart aches to hear her, and well... This little card should pick her up... I hope. Somedays, we need to put ourselves first, make the hard decisions, and let go.
For little kids ( and some big kids too) all is better once you put a bandaid on it... But as we age we act tougher, and try and hide our feelings, until it's too much to handle. A good old fashioned bandaid, hug and sweet words really can do the trick... I hope!

Here is a Feel Better CASE I made:
Supplies used to make this CASE:
Smokey Slate Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Real Red Cardstock, Crumb Cake Cardstock, Sassy Salutations Stamp Set, Basic Grey Stampin' Pad, Heart Framelits, Project Life Corner Rounder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and the heart from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Set.

Hope she feels better soon... I dislike when her heart is hurting!

A Sassy Feel Better Soon, so we can craft wish going out to you!

Happy Birthday to the United States Navy Hospital Corps!

It's Our Birthday!
Once a United States Navy Corpsman, always a Corpsman, DOC, & squid!
Wishing those I have met, lost and gained from the ten amazing years I was able to serve

Although, I have not attended a birthday ball in years...
I can still recall some amazing times, friends and memories of a lifetime!
So if you get a chance... have a bite, slice, or piece of cake!
Lift your glass, mug, or coffee cup to those that have gone before us, those that still carry many memories, and to those that currently serve, or will join to do the best job ever!
