Saturday's Share the Fun Staycation

Our final Day of our #sharethefunstaycation wrapped up at Lorraine's house.
We gathered at her house by 9am...
We're handed a stiff cup of coffee and a toasted bagel and we headed into her craft room.

Check out our favors:
I had not seen this box or the Framelit in person so it was a double treat!

We tuned into the last live streaming session of Convention and enjoyed more samples and instructions on how to make a dozen or more pretty things from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!
Could this really be the last day to live vicariously through some of our favorite stampers and their social media accounts, and the live sessions? It was fun "stalking them in person last year for pictures"

While we were watching, oohing and ahhing...
Arianna made this bookmark for her stack of books:
I swear this kid has to be related to my girls because she reads 5 books at the same time, she gave each book her attention and love and then moved onto the next! Crazy you think right? She loves to read and she loves to craft and that means she will be able to love each of her stamp sets when she grows up as much as she loves each story and book for its unique gift... Because just like her mama and her mamas friends we do love our stamps and like a good book will love them til the crack, fall apart or we die!

The nice thing about looking at the experience from outside Salt  Lake was this, we saved a little money, we were on a more relaxed schedule, we slept in our own beds and Stampin' Up! helped us feel part through the live streaming. We are lucky to have been before the previous two years and we knew what we were missing out on! This is why the live streaming, the social media, the time together with combined products were so important to the 'feel' of our time together.

We each picked Prize Patrol for when we hosted:
(You have to look inside the Tag a Bag Kit...
so many accessories to make our bags pretty!)
Imagine having friends that know exactly what you don't have,
Then they step up your game and go and wrap it in some ribbon!
Wahoo!

At convention they showcase product from the catalog, provide make n takes and loads of samples made by demonstrators around the word. You have the option to pre-make cards and card fronts for organized and unorganized swapping. This year the pressure of making these were off our plate, but sadly that meant we were not coming home with samples to share with you our crafty friends or with each other.  We decided that we would CASE together at our own paces and with the tools we had.  So we lived on Google & Pinterest, and as I love to do... we Copied And Shared Everything!

The first two days we completed four CASE's per day and so while we included many other activities in our day this meant on our last day we wanted MORE!  So we (equals Me, Myself and I) set a goal of 8 cards for our last day and knew it would be tough... But we exceeded our goal and completed our mission with 9 cards!!! Sadly, there were more that we wanted to make but... Time and energy goes int making a CASE your own. We each have talents we bring to the table, some of us tie better bows, some of us add dimension, some of us sparkle, and never at the same time! Lorraine kept filling our cups with caffeine and we kept CASEing into the night!

***We must break into the sharing of beautiful cards
to announce that we had to liven up the music
and pull our hair up about this time***
When this happens we get serious and the last five cards were made in different environment ๐Ÿ“€๐Ÿ’ฟ music, ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™ and loads of caffeine!

CASE #9 from page 129 in the Annual Catalog:

Now this is where my weekend came to an end,
I was tired and although one more day of stamping is always on my agenda,
I wanted to get home to enjoy my family.
(These two probably kept on stamping... die hards!)

We said our goodbyes, hugged like we knew it would be a while til we saw each other and our three days together came to a close!

Lucky to have been blessed with the time I shared with these amazing ladies and to have the friendships that without Stampin' Up! I would never have experienced! We each have gifts, life experience, a strong sense of faith, families and talents that we share... But the bond of true friendship can go an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year, years and still reconnect and inspire us to share our love, time, and families with each other... And yes together we make pretty things!

We are blessed to have each other and each day that passes we will continue to have each other's back, celebrate our ups and pray in our downs, and always offer support for our abundance of stamping supplies, tools and issues!

Thanks for joining us on our journey AKA: #sharethefunstaycation2015!

Now go make a card, gift a card or hug your family, pets and friends because life is short and each day we get to live id a blessing and how we chose to live it is ours... Handstamped, handmade means more to me now than it ever has... Because with each CASE it ties us together.   Until the three of us gather again individually or among friends... I declare a huge Hug!

Love,
Cary

Freaky Friday Share the Fun Staycation Day Two!

Oh boy!
Freaky Friday....
The girls arrived in time to watch the Live Streaming of the Morning Session.
It was accompanied by coffee, Dutch Babies and Fruit Salad.
(once again I apologize fro my photos.. on my iPad which has been dropped and juggled... it really wants me to get a new one... Honey, are you reading this?)

We are celebrating Sarah's 5 Year Stampin' Up! Anniversary!
She celebrated with the winners of the incentive trip for Stampin' Up!
(One day... We may get this honor)

Then the hubby came and delivered Prize Patrol!
These arrived just in time...
They were on back order!
When you get yours you will see why they went so fast!!

We had time to take a field trip to:
Hobby Lobby, Half Price. Books, Ross, Marshall's and ....
This happened:
Lorraine tried camouflaging herself!
(she always makes us laugh)

We played a game of
Where Oh Where is Sarah!
Hobby Lobby was empty...
the peeps must all be stamping!

We found our Founder's Circle Bag's!
Dreamin' that someday we get a real Dooney Burke Purse!

We thoroughly enjoyed EVERY isle in Marshalls!

If you know Lorraine, you understand the joke!
Mother of a lil guy, and you would never know it because she is so CLEAN!

Arianna did get the white board..
Sarah helped a few other's buy the other two racks...
we tried to get her to take them home.

Although I heard Michael's calling Sarah's name....
 It's time to get busy!

We went to Starbucks and loaded up on caffeine for our evening of crafts!

Sarah and I were photobombed by my Gabriella!

So we tried our own Selfie!
Trying to bribe her because she has a few videos on her phone of me dancing and trying on dresses to celebrate Sarah's 5 year anniversary..
and my Bollywood was a c+ performance!

All these drinks look yummy!

Came home had lunch listened to the afternoon SU Session...
We watched Sarah walk across the front room to celebrate her 5 year anniversary,
( I thought we had missed seeing this but we got lucky!)
We witnessed our Stampin Sista Mercedes Weber celebrate year ten year
and our Upline Beverlee Morales celebrate 20 years as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator.
Second Prize Patrol Delivered by My oldest Mackenzie
who returned home early from a trip to San Diego!
Loads of products to enhance our cards!

Here are the four cards we CASE'd today:
CASE #1 was inspired by Elizabeth Price

CASE #2 Was Inspired by Stamping Moments!

Card #3 was a CASE if a Stampin' Up! Sample Card!

#4 was a CASE from AEstamps a Latte!

Last Night at Sarah's

Ok, it technically was all day at Sarah's.... And it was FUN!

So I had a little bit of a drive... Typically, there is traffic at a later hour... So I planned my trip for a longer drive... But there was NO TRAFFIC!  Happy Dance for that! Wahooooooo!

We started our morning swapping Pillow Pressie's!

What? Pillow Pressie's are what? Well when you go to convention and you have great roomies you get to spoil them with small treats, handmade, handstamped or altered gifts that just add to the magic... Sarah, Lorraine and I have celebrated this tradition for a few years... So even though we did not stay away... We added this tradition  to our FIRST DAY.

Next, we grabbed a fresh baked bagel, slathered in cream cheese and piled on Sarah's couch and watched opening ceremonies.  The three dogs joined us, and you would think they were waiting for us to drop food, but nope... They were watching and barking with us as we enjoyed the show!
Cannot share all the goodies... but spoiler alert I will be making that wreath!
So excited we were standing up and the dogs were glued too!

Prize Patrol Occurred:::

Oh my goodness!  I have wanted this set!

*****BREAKING NEWS***** we did make a Starbucks trip before we moved to the crafting!

Since we did not participate in swaps, or predetermined projects, getting started was a little slow... We each have a long history of saving Pin's, screen shooting Instagram, and adoring the Annual Catty Projects! So picking the very first project was not started until we oooh'd and ahh'd over each other's ideas.

But here is the first project we CASE'd:

Then there was this card:

Sarah then made us some pizza... Heavenly smell... And so yummy.

Electronic stalking of our friends at convention began and then WHAT? We could look at the NEW Holiday Catty Online? Shut the front door! So we grabbed a slice of pizza, and again piled on the couches as Sarah shared the experience on the big screen! First time thorough, we wanted almost every bundle, second time through we added ribbon and paper, third view through we included some new embellishments and embossing folder, fourth and final view of the afternoon (cannot speak for the other's but it was a fun filled night I went straight to bed when I got home) we took our list down to who would buy what first... Paper shares and how many days until we could have it all!

Another quick CASE:

And a trip to Costco and Michael's, Lorraine slipped out to coach her lil JR Giant's! I will admit at this point we did devour A huge amount of candy at this time and so our sweet tooth inspired some sweet cards!

And then we made this CASE:
A small confession, the candy high started becoming a candy low... So Sarah decided to change up the scene and  took us to Dinner at a yummy local Mexican food joint... It looks small from he outside but it was huge inside, and we each enjoyed a lil local home style cooking.  It made us talk, smile, giggle and enjoy the relaxed pace of our day... And yet we still have two more days!!

We came home and finished with this page 7 Catty CASE:
Then because she is so nice, we piled all the product that Sarah own's that Lorraine and I do not own... Into bags for our #sharethefunstaycation2015 day two!

Prize Patrol Number Two:
(Photo quality was altered by the plastic and my iPad here is what I got!)
So... After a promise to text when I arrived home, I fell asleep on my couch while looking through pinspirations for today and tomorrow! When I woke up later and headed to bed, the hubby smiled and promised to help us enjoy today... Just go to sleep and stop talking about what looks good, and yes he can still hear my fingers swiping the screen, and tapping photos of friends! Oops!

Cannot wait to see what today brings! Thanks for last night Sarah & Lorraine! Bring on Friday!

Love,
Cary

Banner's for Friday

Oh boy!
I have picked a theme for when I am the Staycation Hostess tomorrow!
(Ok I am stretching it to accommodate my style but you will catch my meaning!)

I am always thinking of my stamping sister's... So I picked a Thinking of You stamp with a koala bear on it!

Or can you guess where we are going, A.K.A. "Staycationing."

I made some name strands:
Ok... My shadow is there๐Ÿ˜!

There are those name strands, I had some confetti strings attached but my cat attacked them!
Terrible photo but I made koala banners...

A lil stamping station... Empty because the rest of my embellishments are in my bag on the way to Sarah's!!
Making my pillow pressies and wrapping my Prize Patrol!

Ok... My decor, menu and ideas are not exactly from Austrailia but I think we can travel down under and enjoy some good food, laughter, and loads of Stampin'!

I am going to have iti CASE some Aussie inspired cards tomorrow too!

I love when I gather when my Stampin' sistas because we are very creative and make each other better stampers , mother's, Christian's and friends!

Supplies used to make the name strands:
Layered Letters Alphabet, Scallop Punches, Smokey Slate Stampin' Pad, Daffodil Delight Stampin' Pad, Real Red Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Stampin' Stapler, Glue Dots and. Retired Smokey Slate Chevron Ribbon!
